Official Rules of the 50 Yard Line Sweepstakes

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.  A PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.  VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

Eligibility:  The 50 Yard Line Sweepstakes (the “Promotion”) is open to all legal residents of the fifty United States and the District of Columbia who are at least 18 years of age and older at the time of entry.  The Promotion is void in Alaska, Hawaii, Rhode Island, New York, and wherever prohibited or restricted by law, and is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.  Employees of Fellowship of Christian Athletes (“FCA”) and its affiliates and subsidiaries, and employees of Station Partners with “Sharing the Victory” and of Ambassador Advertising Agency, as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and household members of such employees, are not eligible to participate or win.

Sponsor:  FCA may be contacted at 8701 Leeds Road, Kansas City, MO 64129.  “Sharing the Victory” is listener supported, but thanks to our promotional partners, we NEVER use the financial support of our listeners to pay for prizes given away.

Agreement to Official Rules:  By entering into and participating in the Promotion, each entrant accepts the conditions stated in these Official Rules, agrees to be bound by the decisions of FCA and its representatives regarding the Promotion, and warrants that he or she meets the eligibility requirements set forth in these Official Rules.

Timing:  Entries for the Promotion will be accepted beginning November 1, 2008, at 12:00 a.m. Central Time and will be accepted through January 5, 2009, at 11:59 p.m. Central Time (the “Promotion Period”).  Any entries received before or after the Promotion Period will not be accepted.

How to Enter the Promotion:  During the Promotion Period, go to www.sharingthevictoryradio.com, enter the “code” that was provided on the most recent “Sharing the Victory” radio program, and follow the directions for entry.  No purchase or other consideration is necessary to enter.  Once you submit the form, you will automatically receive one (1) entry form into the random drawing for a chance to win.  All entries must be received during the Promotion Period.  Limit:  Each eligible person can only receive one (1) entry into the Promotion.  Incomplete entries are void.  Entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address or telephone number submitted at the time of entry.  “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address or telephone number by an internet access provider, online service provider, telephone company, or other organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address or telephone number.  Any attempt by any participant to obtain more than the one entry by using multiple/different email addresses, telephone numbers, identities, registrations and logins, or any other methods will void that participant’s entry and that participant may be disqualified.

How to Win:  The winners will be determined in a random drawing from among all eligible entries on or about January 6, 2009.  FCA will determine in its sole discretion which entries are valid entries and whether the entries otherwise meet the eligibility requirements set forth in these Official Rules (see Eligibility section above).  The winners are not determined until the random drawing.  All decisions of FCA regarding the selection of the winners are final.  Notice will be sent to the potential winners by email or telephone using the information provided on each potential winner’s entry.  An entrant need not be present at the drawing to win.  FCA is not responsible for unsuccessful efforts to notify a winner including, without limitation, by reason of any inaccurate information or transmission failure that results in the failure to identify or contact a potential winner.  The potential winners will be given three (3) business days from the day notice is sent to claim the prize by responding as provided in the notice.  In order to claim the prize, potential winners (and the potential guest of the grand prize winner) must sign and return, within five (5) business days of being notified, a liability/product release and an authorization to use publicity rights, except where prohibited.  If a potential winner fails to respond as provided in the notice within the specified three (3) business days, or if the potential winner (and the potential guest of the grand prize winner) fails to sign and return the liability/product release or the authorization to use publicity rights within five (5) business days (if applicable), the potential winner will be disqualified and the prize will be awarded to an alternate entrant, which FCA will select from among all eligible entries received.  If circumstances prohibit a potential winner from accepting the prize, FCA reserves the right to randomly select an alternate winner from among all eligible entries received.

Grand Prize and Odds:  The grand prize offered in this Promotion consists of a trip for two persons to Tampa, FL, site of the Super Bowl, including travel expenses, lodging, and meals. The two persons will also be guests of Les and Chris Steckel at a suite for the game on February 1, 2009 at Raymond James Stadium.  Approximate retail value (“ARV”) of the Grand Prize is $10,000.   The second prize offered in this consists of a collection of the FCA library including books, Bible, CD, shirt and FCA Memorabilia Football.  ARV of the second prize is $250.   The third prize offered in this Promotion consists of an FCA sports jacket and copy of “One Yard Short” by Les Steckel.  ARV of the third prize is $60.   All entrants will receive three complimentary issues of “Sharing the Victory.”  FCA reserves the right to substitute the prizes with similar prizes of equal or greater value or with the equivalent cash value.  The prizes are not transferable or assignable, nor are the prizes redeemable for cash.  All costs and fees, including without limitation, federal, state, local or other applicable taxes, and the reporting consequences thereof, and charges and incidental costs, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winner.  The number of eligible entries received during the Promotion Period determines the odds of winning a prize.

Publicity:  Except where prohibited, participation in the Promotion constitutes a winner’s consent to FCA’s and its affiliated companies, sponsors and prize donors, use of winner’s name, likeness, voice, opinions, biographical information, hometown, home state, and statements for promotional purposes in any printed, broadcast, or news media, and in any manner FCA deems appropriate, without additional compensation, consideration, or consent and without further notice to the winner.

General Conditions:  FCA reserves the right to cancel or modify the Promotion if fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond FCA’s reasonable control impairs the integrity of the Promotion, as determined by FCA in its sole discretion.  In such event, FCA reserves the right to award the prizes at random from among the eligible entries received up to the time of the impairment.  Any attempt by any person or entity to deliberately damage any web site or undermine the legitimate operation of the Promotion is a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, FCA reserves the right to seek damages and costs (including without limitation attorneys’ fees) and any other appropriate remedies from any such person or entity to the fullest extent permitted by law.  FCA’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

RELEASE:  BY ENTERING THIS PROMOTION, ENTRANT AGREES TO RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS FCA AND EACH OF ITS RELATED COMPANIES, AND EACH OF THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES AND AGENTS, FROM AND AGAINST ANY CLAIM OR CAUSE OF ACTION ARISING OUT OF PARTICIPATION OR ATTEMPT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PROMOTION OR RECEIPT OR USE OF ANY PRIZES INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, (i) TECHNICAL FAILURES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING THE MALFUNCTIONING OF ANY COMPUTER, CABLE, NETWORK, HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE; (ii) THE UNAVAILABILITY OR INACCESSIBILITY OF ANY TRANSMISSIONS OR TELEPHONE OR INTERNET SERVICE; (iii) UNAUTHORIZED HUMAN INTERVENTION IN ANY PART OF THE ENTRY PROCESS OR THE PROMOTION; (iv) THE AWARDING, RECEIPT, OR USE OR MISUSE OF THE PRIZE; (v) OR ANY INJURY OR DAMAGE TO PERSONS OR PROPERTY RESULTING FROM PARTICIPATION IN THE PROMOTION.

Disputes:  All decisions of FCA regarding the Promotion are final and binding.  Entrant, by entering the Promotion, agrees that any claim or dispute arising from or related to the Promotion shall be settled by mediation and, if necessary, legally binding arbitration in accordance with the Rules of Procedure for Christian Conciliation of the Institute for Christian Conciliation, a division of Peacemaker Ministries.  Judgment upon an arbitration decision may be entered in any court otherwise having jurisdiction.  Entrant agrees that these methods shall be the sole remedy for any controversy or claim arising out of this Agreement and expressly waives his or her right to file a lawsuit in any civil court against FCA for such disputes, except to enforce an arbitration decision.

Winners’ List:  FCA will post the name and city of the winners on the web site www.sharingthevictoryradio.com after the winners have been notified.  FCA shall maintain this winners’ list on the web site for approximately six months after the drawing.
