This Week's Program Saturday, June 4
This weekend, Sharing the Victory features two former athletes who were also members of the military -- Chad Hennings and Clebe McClary.
A former Outland Trophy winner in college, Hennings flew 45 missions in support of Operation Provide Comfort in northern Iraq during a four-year stint with the Air Force. He was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in 1992 and went on to win three Super Bowls.
After fulfilling his dream of becoming a college coach, Clebe McClary left a promising career to serve with the Marine Corps in Vietnam. Despite suffering numerous injuries that led to the loss of his left arm and left eye, he continued to lead his men, and now he uses his inspirational story to motivate audiences all over the world.
Later in the program, Susan Bumpas joins us for the FCA Across America segment, and FCA President Les Steckel shares some of his insight during Coach's Corner.
Last Week's Program Saturday, June 27
Baltimore Orioles second baseman Brian Roberts was the featured guest last weekend on Sharing the Victory.
Roberts has admitted to a one-time use of steroids in his career. Roberts candidly discussed the mistakes he made and the lessons he's learned. He also talked about how God has strengthened him during the times of trial.
Later in the program, Kanakuk Kamps President Joe White discussed his passion for reaching men for Christ. White revealed some of those strategies and how God is already using his efforts to change lives.
In the FCA Across America segment, we continued a series of interviews with the Regional Directors of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Tim Johnson, Regional Director for the Midwest, shared how God is using the sport of wrestling to reach lives for Christ.
And in Coach's Corner, FCA President Les Steckel shared some thoughts about the life of Daniel in the Old Testament. |
